Babies and toddlers can participate in the summer reading program, too!
We have several fun story times in the summer for your youngest children.
Mother Goose on the Loose
This half-hour story time is for 18 months and younger and consists of rhymes, stories, songs and much more. Mother Goose on the Loose (MGOL) is held at 10:15 a.m. on Mondays at the Manomet Branch, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Main Library. The program runs for eight weeks during the summer and requires registration, as space will be limited. Registration begins June 9th at Manomet and June 11th at the Main Library.
Tots 'n' Tales
Tots 'n' Tales (TNT) is for children age 3 and under, with a parent or caregiver. This half-hour story time is similar to our Mother Goose on the Loose program, with stories, rhymes, finger plays and songs aimed at active toddlers. TNT is held at 11:00 a.m. on Mondays at the Manomet Branch, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Main Library. No registration is necessary for this program.
Squiggles & Giggles
This story and craft program is for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Children will listen to a story and participate in a simple craft. Space will be limited in the program, so registration is required. Registration will begin two weeks before each program.

Keep track of reading you do with your baby or toddler with our 5 years and under tracking form. It's easy and you can win great summer prizes. For every twenty minutes you read to your child, listen to a book on cassette or CD, or spend just looking at a book, color in one of the paws on the tracking sheet. Bring the tracking sheet in to the librarian at the Children's Desk at the Main Library or the desk at Manomet to get your raffle tickets. Each week there will be a prize drawing on Saturday afternoon, so get your tickets in to the Manomet Branch Library by 9:00 p.m. Thursday and by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Main Library. Raffle tickets from Manomet will be sent up to the Main Library with the Friday delivery; be sure to get your tickets in early.
